  • 1. Rigging / Lighting Technician

    As the lighting team's work is crucial and the lighting creates the right atmosphere to set the scene and evoke an audience's response, Power House is looking for a skilled Lighting Technician that can set up and operate our state of the art lighting equipment. We need someone who can work on all types of programs and can cover productions inside studios or outside on location.

    Job Description:

    Power House is seeking a well experienced “Lighting Technician”
    These employees must be well experienced with the following:

    • Establishing lighting requirements
    • Plotting the lighting
    • Assembling all the lighting and filter equipment needed
    • Ensuring all lighting equipment is in working order and organizing any necessary scaffolding and cranes
    • Conducting risk assessments for health and safety purposes
    • Pre-rigging the lighting and ensuring all cables and wires are safely concealed
    • Loading automated color change systems
    • Checking the focusing of lighting at rehearsals
    • Operating and maintaining equipment during the shoot
    • Changing lighting between shots, as necessary
    • Programming and operating lighting consoles
    • De-rigging all equipment at the end of the production and ensuring it is safely transported away from the location and/or stored
    • liaising with the project manager and sound technician throughout the project
    • coordinating the equipment and the technical crew and training other crew members as required

  • 2. Audio Technician

    This team member is responsible for the preparation, assembly, operation, and maintaining the technical equipment used during the events. Ensuring that we will be able to achieve the highest standard of service and equipment quality.

    Job Description:

    Power House is on the search for a qualified “Audio Technician”
    These employees must be well experienced with the following:

    • Consulting project managers to determine the sound requirements
    • Selecting, positioning, adjusting and operating the equipment used for amplification
    • Applying technical knowledge of sound equipment to achieve the determined artistic objectives
    • Monitoring audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions
    • Anticipating and correcting any problems
    • Maintaining and repairing sound equipment
    • Exposure to working in different cultures
    • Basic understanding of safety and HSE guidelines / working at height safe practice
    • Basic understanding of which mics to use including RF mics and their operation. This applies to polar patterns, mic sensitivities, and frequency response
    • Understanding of the 3 phase power basics and power distribution in entertainment systems
    • mixing and balancing speech, effects and music

  • 3. Rigging Technician (Rigger)

    This candidate must be knowledgeable with the necessary equipment that will be used in a certain event. He will be responsible for the preparation, set up, usage, dismantling, and maintaining the equipment.

    Job Description:

    Power House is looking for a skillful “Rigging Technician”
    These employees must be well experienced with the following:

    • Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools
    • Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps
    • Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment
    • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
    • Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools
    • Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment
    • Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules
    • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials
    • Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability
    • Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques
    • Clean and dress machine surfaces and component parts
    • Install ground rigging for yarding lines, attaching chokers to logs and then to the lines

    This team member should be well rounded with regards to the advance technicalities of video and lighting for the events. You will be working with a wide range of equipment, including:

    • Projectors
    • LED Screen
    • LED processor
    • Video conferencing equipment
    • LCD or plasma screens
    • Video and still cameras
    • Distribution of signals
    • Projection screen
    • Holograms

    Job Description:

    Power House is on the search for a qualified “Media Server Technician”
    These employees must be well experienced with the following:

    • Setting up equipment according to the instructions from the project managers
    • Testing equipment before an event
    • Projection Mapping
    • Controlling Watch out
    • Finding and dealing with any faults on site
    • Operating equipment during rehearsals and the event itself
    • Checking and servicing the equipment
    • Training other people to use the equipment
    • Assessing a venue’s AV equipment, and recommending or organizing when necessary
    • Buying new equipment and agreeing prices with suppliers
    • Proven leadership qualities with years of practical experience (including running shows of all sizes, and managing a small team of technicians in the set-up and operation of large scale events.)
    • Advanced knowledge of all equipment in the department, and the ability to provide technical advice.
    • Advance knowledge of the production and event industry
    • Advanced fault finding skilled in chosen discipline at an advanced level
    • Advanced knowledge of all video formats and signal types, video equipment setups and video equipment including projection, switching, media servers, camera systems, and signal distribution.
    • Advanced knowledge of projection calculations including multi-projector line-ups and blend calculations for large screen set-ups, and the ability to work out power calculations and weight loads for video equipment being flown on events.
    • Advanced knowledge of LED screen construction and programming, and the ability to create video schematics for the set-up of video systems.

    Qualifications:

    As a “Warehouse in Charge”, he must be an effective manager with regards to receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. He will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. The goal is to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

    Job Description:

    Power House is seeking a well experienced “Warehouse in Charge”
    These employees must be well experienced with the following:

    • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
    • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
    • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
    • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
    • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
    • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
    • Manager stock control and reconcile with data storage system
    • Keep a record of suppliers and transport companies

    As a graphic designer, it is given that we expect that this team member to be creative and passionate about his work since design and concept are one of the many factors that makes an epic event. He should be well oriented with layout sills, focused on the customer’s taste, flexible, attention to detail, deadline-oriented, acute vision, well versed with the different applications and editing soft wares, and can handle rejection in a professional manner.

    Job Description:

    Power House is looking for an innovative “Graphic Designer”
    These employees must be well experienced with the following:

    • Prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts
    • Plans concept by studying information and materials
    • Illustrate concept by designing a rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type, and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
    • Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
    • Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art
    • Estimating the time required to complete the work
    • Developing design briefs that suit the client's purpose
    • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design
    • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
    • Working with a range of media, including computer-aided design (CAD) and keeping up to date with emerging technologies
    • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
    • Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print
